The distinctive feature of the Erlangen International Comic Salon is the numerous top notch exhibitions spread across the entire city centre which turn Erlangen into a huge temporary comic musuem.

The core of the Erlangen International Comic Salon is the Comic Fair. In 2018 around 200 exhibitors presented their programmes, numerous releases were introduced to the public for the first time and more than 500 artists from all over the world could be experienced live, drawing and signing their books.

The Children's Comic Festival presented four days filled with readings, workshops, live drawing sessions, an interactive exhibition and a comic rallye through the botanical gardens.
