JAZAM! is currently the largest independent German-language comic anthology. A new issue is published once a year, featuring many of the most interesting young comic artists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, representing a wide variety of styles and genres. Each volume has a specific topic – the 13th volume, published in time for the Comic Salon Erlangen, is all about "Schreckgeschichten" ("scary stories"). This volume is suitable for young audiences from the age of 10. In 2011, JAZAM! was awarded the ICOM Independent Comic Award "for a notable comic publication".
