Thilo Krapp was born in 1975 and grew up in Westphalia. At the age of three, he drew ducks that drove across the Grand Canyon on a Wild West locomotive. The uncomplicated school time, he keeps his head above water by drawings and cartoons on the current situation, which he draws in his notebooks at the end of class work. After high school and community service, he studies communication design in Wuppertal and begins to illustrate children's books, magazines and stories. Having always been a fan of classic science fiction and adventure stories, the transformation of the classic The War of the Worlds into a graphic novel has been Thilo Krapp's dream ever since he was twelve years old. The award-winning graphic novel was released by Egmont in 2017.
