Born in 1967, Silvio Camboni studied at the Liceo Artistico Statale in Cagliari, where he graduated in 1985. In 1988 he began drawing Disney Comics for the Italian Mickey Mouse magazine Topolino. About a decade later, Camboni founded the Sardinian School of Comics and launched the sports magazine La Caggetta within the same year. He provided illustrations for Baby Legs at Bonelli and Le Vin Illustré en Bande Dessinée at La Sirène. In addition to a variety of Disney comics published by Egmont, the German edition of An Extraordinary Journey was published by Splitter-Verlag in 2015. As part of the Disney Homage Series of the Egmont Comic Collection, Camboni together with scenarist Denis-Pierre Filippi delivers his very own interpretation of the Disney universe: In "Micky and the Lost Ocean", they unfold a visually stunning adventure embedded in true-to-life "Entenhausen-Steampunk-look"!
