Charles Berberian was born in 1959 in Bagdad. He grew up in Lebanon and moved to France in the 70s to study at an Artschool in Paris. There he met Philippe Dupuy with whom he soon became a successful comic-duo. Their best-known creation "Monsieur Jean" sold over 120.000 copies in France. Charles Berberian's solo-projects "Jukebox" (2011) and "Cinerama" (2012) were published in German by Reprodukt. They are a hommage to the popculture of his childhood.
