Ludmila Favardin

Ludmila Favardin is a visual artist, author and curator. Together with Sylvain Favardin, she founded Edition Lidu in 2011 - an independent art publishing platform, with the desire to create and publish picture books giving a unique experience to young and adult readers. In the same year, the two also initiated and organized the ART BOOKS WANTED International Award (2011-2014). The Favardin's works are represented, among others, in the collections of the Moravian Gallery in Brno and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. Their projects were exhibited at The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (New York), Attraction of the opposites (Art Rotterdam), Le Lieu Unique (Nantes, France) and many others. Both artists, together with the editorial activity, also devote themselves to experimental work in the field of book culture. Their latest achievement is the invention of a new interactive paper media Scrollino – the revolutionary rewinding book.
