Fil was born in Berlin, where he lives and works today. At the age of 14 his first drawings were published in the Berlin City-Magazine Zitty. His "Didi & Stulle"-strips appeared there every second week for many years. Besides working as an illustrator Fil is also a Stand-Up-Comedian and a novelist.
