Ray Hautmann was born in Nuremberg in 1958 and is a fixture of the Franconian cultural and artistic scene. Being both an artist and a passionate musician, his varied interests take him regularly around Franconia as well as across its borders. His lyrical side is expressed in two illustrated and self-published books written in Franconian vernacular, followed by his portfolio "Fränkeleien" (roughly: Franconianisms) which was published with UltraComix Editions in 2017. Since the beginning of this year, a posterbook containing some of his works is also available.
