Many internationally successful comics in the past years have been created by illustrators and authors from Canada, even though this might not always become clear to foreign readers. The Canadian scene is characterized by its great diversity that picks up on US mainstream and current developments in the independent scene as much as being influenced by European and Asian art. The panel features artists, publishers and festival organisers from the Toronto Comic Arts Festival who explore the characterisitc features of the Canadian scene.
