Thomas von Steinaecker was born 1977 in Traunstein. He is an author, journalist and regisseur. His novels "Wallner beginnt zu fliegen" (2007) and "Die Verteidigung des Paradieses" (2026) were well received and nominated for the German Book-Award. Together with the comicartist Barbara Yelin he worked on the story "Der Sommer ihres Lebens" which was published by Reprodukt in 2017.
