Thomas Wellmann, born in 1983, has been working as a freelance cartoonist in the field of animation since he finished his studies in communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. He draws backgrounds, storyboards, and figures for studios such as Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network Studios. His illustrations and comics can be found in numerous newspapers and magazines, ie. Die Zeit, Zeit LEO, Dein Spiegel, Geolino Magazine, and SZ Familie. As a lecturer in drawing and comics, Thomas Wellmann teaches at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster. He also writes and draws his own comics. He lives with his family in a small house near Münster.
