Patrick Wirbeleit, born in 1971 in Lüneburg, is a German writer and illustrator for children's books and comics. In 2002 he was presented with the ICOM award for “Das Baumhaus”. As a writer he amongst other things created “Störtebeker” (Carlsen) and “Kleiner Thor” (Tokyopop) together with Kim Schmidt, the famous "Kiste" series with illustrator Uwe Heidschötter as well as the childen's comic „Antonia war schon mal da“ (in collaboration with Max Fiedler), which won the Leipziger Lesekompass in 2017.
